WHO WE ARE
These three exceptional musicians make up the nucleus of this group. Accompanying them and adding to the size of the group are other well known musicians, allowing Crosswinds to be an intimate group of three up to any size your budget will allow. There is no function too small or too large for Crosswinds.
Steve Nichols — Perfectionist on the guitar, wielding sounds from musical sources as diverse as rock, classical, jazz, Latin, blues, and country. Steve has been called upon to work as a studio musician for the recording industry in Los Angeles and throughout the western states. Some notable artists and bands that Steve has performed or shared the stage with include B.B. King, Frankie Lane, Charlie Daniels,Lou Rawls,Barney Kessel,Bellamy Bros.,John Conley,CCR Revisted,Billy Cobham,John Anderson,Patty Lovelace and Eddie Raven to mention just a few.
Paul Wheatbread — A naturally gifted percussionist, Paul has performed and shared the stage with some of the music industry's most well known entertainers, notably Neil Diamond. On Dick Clark's television show "Where the Action Is", Paul entertained with his group "The Hardtimes", and also with "Paul Revere & the Raiders". Paul is the original drummer for "Gary Puckett & the Union Gap," earning him four gold records and two gold albums.
Danny Perez — Danny brings multiple album credits, dozens of studio sessions, a four bass repertoire (including fretless, 4-string, 6-string, upright), and a symphonic trained background. Danny has over 30 years of Music Industry experience, influenced by bassists such as Bert Turetzky, Eddie Gomez, and John Patiutucci. Danny went on to study the acoustic bass with Bert Turetzky. Various projects lead to touring, studio work and teaching. One project was opening act for the Pointer Sisters on there tour. Danny went on to start a production company with his brother resulting in a library full of CD's and hundreds of bass tracks adding to his resume of studio work.
